Information Visualisation Society (IVS) is the international organization that aims at providing a foundation for integrating the human, technological and strategic aspects of information visualisation with the means of promoting international exchange, cooperation and development. Within the scope of the 11th International Conference Computer Graphics, Imaging and Visualization (cgiv2013) we are pleased to announce a doctoral research workshop which will provide the opportunity to PhD students to present their work, receive feedback and to meet other researchers working in Computer Graphics, Imaging and Visualization area. The focus of this workshop will be on the pros and cons of various Computer Graphics, Imaging and Visualization ideas and solutions and its potential impact on both the research community and the industry in general.

 

All doctoral students involved in Computer Graphics, Imaging and Visualization research area are welcome to attend. The event is organised in two sessions with up to four PhD students per session. Presenters, which are PhD students at various stages of their PhD, will give an outline of their PhD research in order to benefit from feedback about their work and methodology from a combined industry & research panel.

 

Please note that places are limited, so if you wish to attend and make a presentation, or nominate a research student to make a presentation or attend this event, please send 1 page summary of your research works together with the name and affiliation of your supervisor before 7 July 2014.

 

Abstract of the workshop will be published in THE BOOK OF ABSTRACT of cgiv2014 conference.
