CGIV-IVA Symposium Theme -------------------------------------------------------- Image/Video Analysis Image/Video analysis is emerging as one of the key area of computing which has a wide ranging application. Image/Video content analysis has wide ranging application ranging from medicine, entertainment and generally a multimedia setting. The objective of the symposium is to bring together researchers and developers from academia and industry working in all areas of image, video and even audio applications, with a special focus on analysis and application. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Application in Image/Video Processing Visual content analysis and understanding Motion Picture analysis and detection Filtering of Still Images and Image Sequences Video Segmentation Based on Multiple Features for Interactive and Automatic Multimedia Applications Invariant Features in Pattern Recognition–Fundamentals and Applications Image Models for Facial Feature Tracking Content-based browsing, indexing and retrieval of images, video and audio 2D/3D feature extraction Advanced descriptors and similarity metrics for audio and video Relevance feedback and learning systems Segmentation of objects in 2D/3D image sequences Identification and tracking of regions in scenes Analysis and understanding tools for content adaptation Content summarization and personalization strategies Data hiding and copyright protection of image/video content Semantic mapping and ontologies Multimedia analysis for advanced applications Image/Video analysis hardware and middleware
