Within the scope of the 12th International Conference Information Visualisation (IV08) we are pleased to announce a doctoral research workshop which will provide the opportunity to PhD students to present their work, receive feedback and to meet other researchers working in visualisation area. The focus of this workshop will be on the pros and cons of various information visualisation ideas and solutions and its potential impact on both the research community and the industry in general.

All doctoral students involved in information visualisation research area are welcome to attend. The event is organised in two sessions with up to four PhD students per session. Presenters, which are PhD students at various stages of their PhD, will give an outline of their PhD research in order to benefit from feedback about their work and methodology from a combined industry & research panel.
