Zurich Airport

Location: The airport is situated eight miles (12km) north of Zurich.
Time: GMT +1 (GMT +2 between the last Sunday in March and the Saturday before the last Sunday in October).

Transfer City: Swiss Rail (SBB) provides fast and efficient transport to the city centre, taking only ten minutes to Zurich's Hauptbahnhof (central station). The station is located below Arrivals and trains leave every 15 minutes for Zurich and other destinations. There are also taxis or a hotel shuttle is available. Taxis take around half an hour to the city centre.

Hotel/Accommodation

Zurich is a small city. Everything is in walking distance. We recommend you to book a hotel in the city center. First, because you can enjoy the beauty and quality of living of Zurich in summer. Second, because there are no hotels close to the campus "ETH Hönggerberg".  General hotel accommodation information can be obtained from:

Together with the city of Zurich we organized reduced prices and a website where you can compare and book your hotel. You will find the recommended 18 hotels at: http://hotels.zuerich.com/iv07/english/search.htm

 At first, you might think that this is just the official list of hotels. But it is not. It is a filtered list with reduced prices only available for IV delegates. It does not matter in which hotel you stay. Because the journey from your hotel to the "ETH Hönggerberg" (not ETH in the city center) takes about the same time (roughly 20-30 minutes).

Please book your accommodation as soon as possible and in any case before Mid of April 2007. Because due to the attractiveness of Zurich in July a lot of hotels will be fully booked already in May!
