Process Visualisation

A number of invited speakers and tutorial sessions will review current state-of-the-art developments and outline future directions. This embedded with the current research and application undertaken in industry and in academia will provide coverage of the salient aspects and sub-areas of visualisation and graphics. Such work will be presented in a series of symposia. One of which is the “Process Visualisation” symposium.

 

Papers presenting case studies, application in projects and original research with the theme of „Process Visualisation“are being sought. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to) the following aspects:

 

ProVis:

Process Visualisation can play a relevant role in companies, public services and international organisations visualizing present, past or future processes.

 

Examples of Application - focusing on the creation of abstract content, of concepts, ideas, thoughts:

·       Manual or computer aided documentation of discussions

·       Visualisation during decision-making processes

·       Visualisation in problem solving processes

·       Visualisation of dialogue for software or product development and so on

 

Examples of Application - focusing on material elements or concrete actors and their interaction:

·       Simulation of a future production line or robot simulation

·       Simulation of physical or chemical processes

·       Flight or car simulation

·       Visualisation of work flow, communication flow or utilisation processes and so on

 

Purposes:

·       Visualisation for facilitating personal dialogue

·       Real time / live visualisation in workshops and events

·       Visualisation in remote discussions and virtual processes

·       Facilitation of personal and team coaching

·       Generating new knowledge

·       Intercultural dialogue and corporate responsibility

·       Scenario planning

·       Quality management

·       Teaching

·       Entertainment

·       Marketing and PR

·       Technical documentation

·       Science and so on

The ProVis symposium as an interactive visualisation process:

The symposium will not be designed as a usual congress sequence of different inputs or papers but as an interactive networking and dialogue process between contributions from diverse professional fields. This interdisciplinary and intercultural dialogue and networking process will be visualized in real time by ProVis tools and will be itself a ProVis life process aiming at the creation of the ProVis symposium as a whole entity together with speakers and participants.

 

ProVis Round Table Visual Dialogue:

A round table will be organized to make progress the concern of ProVis.  Visualisation tools will be used for achieving concrete visible outcomes from this dialogue focusing on activities such as:

·       Exchange of ProVis experiences focusing on current needs and corporate responsibility

·       Discuss formats of publications and prepare a ProVis book

·       Decide on ProVis actions and activities

·       Explore the creation of a virtual ProVis platform

·       Prepare next steps
